Ph.D (defended dissertation in 2004 on the topic “The Role of Mass Media in Ensuring Political Rights and Freedoms of Citizens in a Democratic Society”).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
With over 20 years of professional journalism experience, she has worked as a parliamentary correspondent and political commentator for regional and nationwide media outlets. For over 10 years, she served as the chief editor for print and online media, including the “Glavred” magazine and the “Glavred” group of websites, as well as the “Bez Tsenzury” newspaper and the online media “PiK.” She has held managerial positions in media NGOs, including the role of executive director at the NGO “Detector Media.” She is the founder of the NGO “Ukrainian Institute of Media and Communication.”
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Member of the Commission on Journalism Ethics (CJE) (since 2020) and the Council on Freedom of Speech and Journalists’ Protection under the President of Ukraine (since 2019). She was a member of the Scientific and Advisory Council at the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine (2018-2019) and a member of the Supervisory Board of the professional journalism competition “Honour of the Profession” («Честь професії») (since 2010).
AWARDS
Honored Journalist of Ukraine (2007).
