News Agency journalism:covering the news under the pressure of emergency
This workshop will take a practical approach to teaching students the ins and outs of reporting at an international news agency — from creating wire stories, features and multimedia tailored to a global audience, including in a war context. Students will be part of a virtual newsroom and go hands-on in real-life conditions.
Course Goal
Provide an overview of the importance of international reporting and the role of news agencies in delivering global news. Conduct practical exercises on writing concise and compelling stories.
